Background

With degrees from the Manhattan School of Music (M.M., 2015) and the Eastman School of Music (B.M., 2012), I bring my conservatory background to any educational environment to lay important groundwork while supporting students’ own creative voices and fostering a love for the music.

I currently serve as Director of Jazz at Reed College while teaching jazz courses at Portland State University and maintaining a saxophone studio at Pacific University, all in the greater Portland, OR, area.

I created and taught a course for Jazz at Lincoln Center’s Swing University, and have hosted educational events at the Reno Jazz Festival, New Mexico State University’s “Jazz Jumpstart” Festival, and high schools and colleges in all regions of the country.

I am available and would be excited to visit your school, meet for in-person or virtual private lessons, or appear at your educational event!
